Formerly feral, Whitewalker (check out her amazing blue eyes) is enjoying a good scratch while investigating the head collar for only the second halter training session in her life.
The halter is rapidly becoming linked to a lovely groom through classical conditioning, since the two are happening together and she is aware of each. As I move to putting it on her, as opposed to her putting her nose in herself as per the picture, the halter happens fractionally ahead of the scratching (I only have two hands 😁) so it starts to predict scratching.
At this stage Whitewalker doesn't have to do anything other than explore and experience, avoiding any conflict that might arise from having to do something to earn the scratch.
